WORKING MEN'S CLUB WHITE ROOMS & PEOPLE
Having gigged relentlessly over the last year or so, Yorkshire outfit and recent-ish Heavenly Recordings signings Working Men's Club have earned their rather impressive following the hard way. Somehow managing to squeeze in time to write, the four piece (which now consists of frontman Syd Minsky-Sargeant, Moonlandingz guitarist Mairead O’Connor, Drenge drummer Rob Graham and bassist Liam Ogburn) have just shared an exhilarating new tune. Intertwining choppy guitar work with novelty sci-fi-inspired synth lines, 'White Rooms & People' shines a light on the importance of creativity in the face of dire situations. Delivering this message through his characteristically laissez-faire vocal style, Minsky-Sargeant explains: “People have an important role to play...Creative power is incredibly important in these times, whether it’s to soothe people’s pain, distract them or address how fucked up the world is right now. There are things we have to accept but there are also things we can do; the power has always been there so it’s about time we used it again.” -Holly Mullineaux
